Susan E Keller died at 79 peacefully on April 21,2021 at her daughter’s home. She was born on March 22,1942 in her parents Doris and Royce Johnson home in Brunswick, Maine.
She was an unexpected premi weighing in at 1 and 1/2 lbs. and a bundle of joy.

She attended Erskine Academy high school in China , Maine where she lived with her mother and step father Frank Carr.. At 15 she got an apartment in Waterville and worked her first job at Harris Bakery. She married Arthur Harry Nickerson her childhood sweet heart on December 2, 1961. They had 3 children when Arthur passed tragically on February 6,1970 at the age of 27. In 1971 Susan meant and married James Edward Keller whom also was widowed raising 5 kids on his own. They added a child of their own into this large family on January 2,1973. Through Jim’s work as a minister, she spent many days working within the churches and towns sharing of God’s Great love for us and the gift of Jesus. February 27,1994 Susan became widowed again when Jim lost his battle to ALS. After the passing of Jim, she got her first job outside of the home in 36 years working as a caregiver until her retirement.

Her surviving family consist of all 9 children. Melody Therault, Francine Littlefield, Karen Rowe, Kenneth Keller, Clarence Keller, Alesia Nickerson, Arlene Nickerson, Susan Zaranski and Crystal Lee along with their spouses, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Susan’s love for the Savior and Lord was evident to all that surrounded her, sharing her faith was up most important. Her love for her family was the second most important thing to her, she loved her husbands and all 9 children with all her being. Her 3rd greatest love was for the Boston Red Sox and her love for all sports. She was known for making friends everywhere she went. Susan came into this world fighting and left this world fighting.
Susan lived by her life verses. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all the ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.
Susan lived out these verses in her daily life walking by faith, she loved well and was loved by many.

A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Harvest Chapel, 3531 Union Street, Levant. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
