As a young woman she learned to pilot small airplanes, and did ministry work in churches in Maine. She loved varieties of flowers, and enjoyed being outdoors tending her beautiful flower gardens. She was a musician, and loved playing the piano and organ at home and at church. As the family grew through the years, she cherished visits and conversation with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Joyce and Robert enjoyed 63 years of loving marriage before he passed less than 3 months apart.
She is survived by her loving children, Calvin and wife Patti, Stuart and wife Christie; daughter, Robin; nineteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Stephen; and siblings Jean, Harold, and Paul.
