Donna Marie Hatch, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 10, 2020, at Mass General Hospital, Boston, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Franklin, Maine, the daughter of Hollis D. and Hazel L. (Murch) Hawkes.
Donna’s children and extended family loved her dearly and they were her life. She loved to be referred to as Nana by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nana was an avid gardener, knitter and seamstress. She was a member of the Columbia Street Baptist Church and later in life enjoyed the Crosspoint Church.
She is survived by her children: Cindy Fitkin and husband David, Pamela Davidson and husband Ray, Dawn Stickney, Bion Hatch and Michael Hatch. Siblings: Clara Johnson, Hollis Hawkes and wife Dolly, Sondra Campbell and husband Norman, Duane Hawkes and wife Betty, Marshall Hawkes and wife Judy, Larrie Hawkes and wife Barbara, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by: husband Bion Hatch; daughter Holly St. Louis; sister Elaine Poole; son-in-law Harry Stickney and grandson Nicholas Hatch.
A Service of Remembrance will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 S. Main Street, Brewer. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the Family Reception Rooms of the Brewer Chapel, following the service. Interment will be in the spring at Harts Corner Cemetery, E. Holden.
