BANGOR – Mark A. Leen, 62, passed away January 31, 2019, after a brave and courageous battle with Melanoma. He was born July 28, 1956, in Bangor, the son of Sidney J. and June E. (McKenzie) Leen.

Mark attended Bangor schools. He started working at Grant’s Dairy at the age of 15, where he continued to work for 41 years. Mark married Debra Brown in 1978, and together shared 41 years of marriage. He enjoyed camping, his Harley, and going to yard sales. Mark’s family was his main priority.

In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by a brother, David Leen, in 2013. He is survived by his wife, Debra Leen; daughter, Sarah Leen and her significant other, Tony Bourbon, daughter, Megan Leen; sisters, Diana Violette, and Joanna Call and husband, Dave; a brother, Sidney “Joey” Leen III; and a special cousin, Cathy Wescott and her granddaughter, Caitlin Gosselin, who were a big support to Debra through Mark’s illness; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Special thanks to the Grant 5 nursing staff and the Palliative Care Doctors at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

To the Leen family, this may sound unusual and out of the blue, i never met Mark but i offer sincerest condolences to you Debbie, Sarah and Megan. I shall have a Catholic mass said for his gentle soul here in Ireland in the coming days, why? Because i sign my name and am called by the same name as he was, every day of my life... my name is Mark Leen also. You can do a google search and you will no doubt come across me, perhaps Mark may even have had a laugh if he ever did a google search of his own name and saw mine.. i am an entertainer and a singer/songwriter. May God bless you and yours as 62 was obviously a very young age to leave so suddenly. Deepest condolences from Mark Leen and my sister Violet.

Condolences to the Leen family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, "heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds." May God bring you comfort and peace.
